I shot this reflection scene in Venice, Italy, during a rather rainy springtime visit. Venice is a truly glorious place which has the feel of a big outdoor museum to it. The best way to explore this ancient city is by walking its well-worn streets without worrying about directions. Those who dare to "get lost" are rewarded with something interesting at every turn and will return home rich in experiences that stretch well beyond the familiar landmarks.

While the ancient city of Venezia is a great location to capture in sepia or black-and-white, color photography certainly has its place as well. The decaying palaces showcase a beautiful array of yellow, orange and pink tones which are complemented by the green waters of the countless canals.
